What is IMPACT?
IMPACT is a program for incoming high school juniors and seniors designed to equip students
with hands-on experience in serving and leading in ministry. IMPACT works inside of AMPED
YTH Middle School Ministries to connect high schoolers with opportunities to serve middle
school students in both inside and outside the walls of Christ Church. If you want to put your
faith into action this year consider applying for IMPACT.
Is this for you?
The goal of IMPACT is to equip you as a high school student to live out your faith as a disciple
who is being discipled. This is the very method of ministry that we see modeled in Matthew 10.
Jesus, here, sends out His disciples to witness and share their faith even while they are still
growing in it. We often have a tendency to think that we can’t make an effect right now. We need
to leave that to the adults, the professionals, the people who have it all figured out. Fortunately,
Jesus did not agree, and we don’t either! I want to invite you to consider using your gifts and
talents to serve the Lord by serving on IMPACT.
What’s the commitment?
Ministry at its core is relational. It is all about relationships. In IMPACT you’ll be involved in
relational ministry, building relationships with students, gaining trust, and earning the right to be
heard. All of that takes time and consistency. It takes time and consistency to build friendships
and trust. It takes time and consistency to hear students’ stories and have the grace to know
when to speak to them and when to just listen. But don’t worry, I know that you have a life. I
know you have friends, sports, and school to keep up with. That’s why each student who joins
IMPACT will be asked to take on a one year commitment of just 2.5 weekly service hours in
AMPED YTH programs. This allows you to invest time consistently into our community while still
maintaining a balanced life.
How to apply?
YTH iMPACT has a two step onboarding process for new team members. First applicants must
fill out the online application that is linked below. Once this is done they will receive an email to
set up an interview with the IMPACT team staff. Following the interview they will invited to an
induction ceremony where they will be assigned a ministry area, meet their team, and
