Unreached – Christ Church at Grove Farm

Unreached

Christ Church is involved globally through prayer and action with the unreached and the destitute

Acts 1:8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Unreached people groups or UPG’s are a group of people among which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians within adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance. There are over 7,000 unreached people groups with over 2.5 billion+ people considered unreached.  When you hear these statistics it makes you think, where do we begin.  Christ church is starting by adopting the unreached people group called the Khmer from Cambodia.  We will be interceding for the Khmer through prayer and action.

Christ Church will be partnering with the South East Asia Prayer Center/SEAPC to take the gospel to the Khmer unreached people group in Cambodia.  We are following the command of Christ to go and take the gospel to all nations.  To understand who the unreached are watch this short video.

Mathew 28:18-20And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.

Who are the Khmer

Praying is a way that every single Christian can get involved in missions. Jesus gave us the Great Commission, telling us to go into “all the world and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19, 20). Prayer is the foundation in a disciple making movement among an unreached people group. You can also cultivate a heart for the unreached by reviewing the 4 steps: 1. Learning 2. Praying 3. Giving 4. Going, reviewed at the end of this page.

You can take an active role in praying for an unreached people group. There are approximately 7,000 people groups that have never heard the gospel. You could change that number by making a commitment to pray for one unreached people group. Christ Church will be praying as a congregation for the Khmer unreached people group.

“Declare his glory among the nations.” Psalm 96:3
