Vacation Bible School – Christ Church at Grove Farm

Vacation Bible School

JUNE 24-28, 2024

8:30 am – 12:00 pm

This summer, children will joyously hear about God’s light and how to walk in that light. The week’s focus will be on Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine so others can see it.” An exciting week filled with engaging lessons, worship, hands-on science experiments, crafts, games, and so much more!

For students who just completed preschool (entering kindergarten) through students who just completed 5th grade (entering 6th grade). $50 per student.

What can I expect at Vacation Bible School?

VBS is an exciting week for students completing preschool (entering Kindergarten) – completing 5th grade (entering 6th grade).  This fun-filled week is packed with Bible lessons, worship, games, crafts, science experiments, and so much more!

How much does camp cost?

VBS is $50 per student.

Do I need to pack a lunch for my elementary camper?

No. Students will not be eating lunch at VBS.

What about drinks and snacks?

Each camper should bring a bottle of water with their name clearly marked on it.  Students will receive a snack each day. Please indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions on your child’s registration form.

What should my child wear to camp?

Campers should wear their camp t-shirt that they will receive on the first day, shorts or pants, and shoes they can play in (sneakers or Crocs are good options).

How many campers are you accepting?

How many students we can have participate in camp really depends on the number of volunteers we have signed up.  Just as we want to provide a clean environment for campers; we also want to provide a safe environment; which means making sure we have enough leaders.  If you love kids and want to help please be sure to sign up to volunteer!

My child would like to request to be placed in a group with a friend...

We know children like to be with their friends during camp.  Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate friend requests.  All students who are the same grade and gender will be together.  (ex.  All 3rd-grade girls will be together).  If there is an extenuating circumstance, please contact Amanda Follett, Children’s Ministry Coordinator  |  412-741-4900, ext. 109  |

What will the drop-off and pick-up process look like?

Please check back in June for detailed information about the drop-off and pick-up process.

How do we get our camp T-Shirt?

T-Shirts will be distributed to campers on the first day of camp.

Come celebrate the end of VBS at Fam Jam on Sunday, June 30 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm! There will be food trucks (food available for purchase), 27 ft. water slide, bounce house, obstacle course, carnival games, and more! The event is free and all are welcome! All VBS children will be invited to sing on-stage beforehand during the 11:15am service.
