Dear Christ Church Family,
As your Senior Pastor, one of my top priorities is to get to know each of you better.
To that end, we began “The Pastor Project” last winter. This was to be a series of fellowships in groups of about 30 people, with the express purpose of our getting to know each other better, as well as to share some of what God has placed on my heart for our Christ Church family as we embark on a new season of ministry.
We suspended our fellowships as the Coronavirus ushered in a time of isolation for most, but as restrictions have been lifted and many of us have begun to gather once again for worship in-person, we are excited to announce that we are resuming our Pastor Project fellowships. We are doing so with all of our safety in mind and hence have decided to lower the group size to about 20, and to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing, masks, etc.
If you are immunocompromised or otherwise not quite ready to venture out, please rest assured that I intend to continue these gatherings, about two per month, for as long as it takes to meet the entire Christ Church family – so suffice it to say that we will be doing these for quite some time into the future!
I am looking forward to meeting each of you, as we dream together about how the Lord may be leading Christ Church at Grove Farm to impact His Kingdom on Mt. Nebo, in Pittsburgh and beyond!
Looking forward to our journey together!
New Pastor Project dates will be added in January 2021.
CHILDCARE: We are unable to offer childcare at this time, but hope to lift that restriction in the future when Coronavirus is no longer an issue. You are welcome to bring any children over the age of 12 with you, but please register them separately by clicking on the “+Add someone else” link on the registration form.
Your help is needed and much appreciated in providing food, setting up, serving and cleaning up at our Pastor Project fellowship events! Please review the available slots below and click on the button/s to sign up. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for multiple dates, as well as multiple tasks on the same date. Ideally, those who prepare the food would also be the ones coming to help with set up, serving and cleanup, but if you can only donate a dish, or can only lend a helping hand on the day of the event, simply click on what you are able to do; we appreciate your servant hearts! The general idea here is to provide heavy hors d’oerves/finger foods since these events will be dinner for most everyone attending. If you are donating a dish, please indicate what you are making in the box provided (to avoid duplicates). Also, please keep COVID in mind when you are donating a dish – ideally, we would like to serve foods that can be picked up with utensils as opposed to people picking up foods with their hands. Again, thank you so much for your willingness to serve our Christ Church family! If you have any questions, please contact Pat Cady at 412-417-1620.
