Everywhere you go around Christmastime, you hear these incredible songs that communicate to people, wherever they are, the message of Christ. And that is so necessary and needed right now. Having just been through a pandemic, people have a lot of questions, they are uncomfortable, hurting , struggling , carrying burdens … they are weary. We may wonder as we hear the Christmas bells, “Where is the cheer?”, “Where is the goodwill in the world today?” In these moments, may we realize that there is hope that rings out like a bell and that hope is found in Christ. Though we may not always feel it, we need to trust it.
Our prayer is that the hope of Christ, the message of Jesus will ring out like a bell and we will all sense the goodwill that God has for all people. Open your hearts and listen for the bells.
