Apple Fest Celebration
Soergel’s Orchards will be catering. Lunch will be $12.00 per person.
Lunch Option:
– Soergel’s Signature Sandwich (turkey, cheddar, apple slice, and honey mustard on a pretzel bun)
– Italian Sandwich (salami, capicola, ham, provolone, mayo and Italian dressing on Mancini’s bread)
– Substitute gluten-free bun and gluten-free cookie with either lunch option.
– All meals will include: chips, apple, cookies, bottled water.
Entertainment provided by: Kate Griffin. Kate is a pastor, vocalist and pianist. She often leads worship at APC functions and has opened a performing arts studio in Gibsonia. She studied music in college and with Hillsong International in Australia.
A field trip to Soergel’s Orchards will be available after lunch where they will conduct an apple tasting and presentation. Open and free to all who would like to go.

If you like games come join us every Thursday!! Starting back up from summer break on September 7th at 11:00 – 1:00 in the cafe. All are welcome! Bridge, Mahjong, Dominoes, any game goes. Grab your cards, dominoes, or board games and get a group of friends to come! Snacks to share are welcome but not necessary.

Exercise classes
CLASSES WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF October 10
TUESDAYS
Tuesday class is 9 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Instructor Michele Kovach will be doing emphasis on resistance training. We both feel that this is the aspect where women get less of an opportunity to try it and the most needed aspect of physical training.
THURSDAYS
“Strong and Courageous”!!! Thursday class is 9 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Wilson Hall and will be with a greater emphasis on resistance training. Weights/Bands etc.
As we age, we lose muscle mass, automatically. Unless you’re doing exercise to reverse the condition it can greatly impact your quality of life. Everyone needs it to stay healthy and function optimally. If you feel that weights/bands aren’t good for you, still come and go through the cardio/stretching parts and don’t use any weights. It’s better to go through the motions and keep your range of motion than have no movement or strength conditioning at all.
