Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Lord God almighty, we give you all praise, glory and honor. We come before you in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Father, we thank you for your Presence and Strength in the midst of this pandemic.  Lord, this crisis has created much economic hardship across the globe. A large swath of business activity has been shut down and millions of people are out of work. We pray in the name of Jesus for your intervention Father. As you provided provisions to Israel through your servant Joseph in the midst of a great famine, we pray you bring recovery and healing to our economy and business community.

Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Lord Jesus Christ, we pray for all of those families who have lost employment. We pray Lord God that you continue to raise up many helpers in the Christian community to serve those in need by being witnesses to your compassionate goodness.  In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Heavenly Father, we remember before you all those who suffer want and anxiety from lack of work. Bring back meaningful, life sustaining jobs to our economy. So that those who have been displaced from their work may find suitable and fulfilling employment. We pray Lord God that you continue to raise up many helpers in the Christian community to serve those in need by being witnesses to your compassionate goodness.

Psalm 59:16 I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress,  my refuge in times of trouble.

Lord God Almighty, today we bring before you our business leaders that you give them discernment and wisdom as they navigate the complex financial challenges brought on by the pandemic. We pray Lord that you raise up many Godly men and women to direct the way forward to economic recovery. Father, we humble ourselves and place our trust in you, leaning not on our own understanding. We ask that you direct our paths and that we will be useful to your purposes in the days ahead. In the words of Zachariah, the prophet “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. We pray all of these things in the Name that is above every name, our Lord, our Savior, our everything, Jesus Christ. Amen
