Half day and full day opportunities.

Childcare for Volunteers: 

Half Day Volunteers:  Free childcare is provided for children ages birth through 3 years old for parents who volunteer.  Three year olds will participate in our special Mini Camp program in the mornings!

Full Day Volunteers:  Free childcare is provided for children ages birth through Preschool for parents who volunteer.  Children ages 3 through Preschool will participate in our special afternoon Mini Camp program!

**All volunteers ages 18 and older are required to complete the PA Criminal and PA Child Abuse Clearances. An FBI Clearance is required only if you have not lived in PA for the last 10 consecutive years.

Volunteer Opportunities

The following is a sample list of ways in which you can serve!  A full list will be available for you to view when volunteer registration opens. **more job descriptions will be added closer to volunteer registration.

WORK CREW- Students who have just COMPLETED 6th grade will get an introduction to the various areas of Summer Day Camp through our Work Crew program.  Work Crew is essential to the success of SDC!  Our Work Crew may be placed in various areas of SDC such as indoor and outdoor activity stations, help stations, with the nurse, as leadership team assistants, and more!

JUNIOR COUNSELOR- Students who have just COMPLETED 7th, 8th, and 9th grades may be placed as junior counselors on our crews.  Junior Counselors will travel with a Crew of kids to each activity station, help lead campers in small group discussions, assist the head counselor....and most importantly have FUN with their campers!

HEAD COUNSELOR- Adults and students who have finished 10th, 11th, and 12th grades will be placed as head counselors on our crews.  Head counselors are responsible for ensuring campers get to their stations on time, lead small group discussion and team building activities, and be the main point of contact for their crew.  Like our junior counselors....having FUN and relationship building is a top priority!  **ADULTS:  we need your help as counselors.  Please prayerfully consider serving in this way.  Adults are needed for our half day and full day program.

HYDRATION AND SNACKS- Hydration and snacks is one of the most important jobs at SDC!  This team will ensure all hydration stations are continually full of ice water, prepare daily snacks, help prepare and execute special event snacks, and make occasional Sam's runs.

NURSES STATION- We are in need of nurses to run our Nurses Station.  This job involves lots of band-aids, and compassion!  This position documents all accidents and monitors any medication children need including Epi Pens.  **Nurses must hold a current RN or PA license.

PHOTOGRAPHY- We are in need of photographers to help us document camp!  This job includes photographing worship, the Bible teaching, and indoor and outdoor activities.

WELCOME TEAM-  We are in need of adults to greet and welcome families each morning. This job is from 8:45am-10:15 am daily.
