Dear Christ Church Family,
What a blessing it has been to join together in corporate prayer during this season of change to seek the Lord’s will for the next phase of our church’s history. Thank you for your fervent prayers for discernment and wisdom throughout the process of seeking our next Senior Pastor.
The members of the Parish Council are very excited to announce that we have called Craig Gyergyo (pronounced GEAR-go) to be our Senior Pastor.
Craig is a native of Southwestern Pennsylvania and a graduate of Grove City College. After serving as a 2nd grade teacher for 11 years, Craig felt the Lord calling him into full-time ministry, and started his journey as a youth ministry intern here at Christ Church. He and his wife Lisa were subsequently led to Hope Church in Memphis, where Craig was the Children’s Ministry Director for 6 years, overseeing a program which served over 1,000 children per week. Following that, as an Associate Pastor at Highpoint Church for 4 years, he led in various ministries including young adult, college, small groups, teaching, local missions, and pastoral care. For the past 2 years, while continuing to preach, teach, and minister at Highpoint, Craig has worked as the Executive Director of Bible Museum on the Square, whose mission is to help all people understand that life and truth flow from the Word of God. We are confident that the Lord will use Craig’s many and varied gifts and experiences to help us identify and maximize our church’s unique calling in order to increasingly Call Our World to Christ.
Please help us welcome Craig on Sunday, October 20th, when he will be preaching at both services. We will then be holding a special congregational meeting between services on Sunday, October 27th, in order for the members of Christ Church to vote on his election to the Senior Pastor position.
Finally, and most importantly, please continue to be in prayer during this time of transition. Craig will be joining a tremendous staff of devoted ministry leaders and will have the gift of a great mentor in John Guest, but still needs support from all of us as he steps into this new role. Please lift up his wife Lisa and their daughters Molly (14), Lucy (13), and Laney (9) as they leave their home of 12 years and move to Pittsburgh.
God is Good All the Time, and we can’t wait to see what He is going to do next as we follow His leading and seek His glory!

Dear CCGF Family,
We are at an important junction in the search process for our new Senior Pastor and wanted to provide our Christ Church family with an update so that you can continue to be in prayer for us as we move through the next steps.
VanderBloemen has completed their search and presented us with a slate of (4) candidates. We are now moving into our vetting phase through a process of online research followed by telephone interviews, then site visits to candidates' churches where possible, followed by more focused video interviews, and finally site visits here for the final candidate(s). We expect this process to take at least 4-6 weeks, but the timing will depend on many factors.
We as a Parish Council understand the weight of this endeavor and are earnestly seeking the Lord's wisdom and discernment as we move through this critical juncture. We know that God has His hand on one of these men to shepherd our Christ Church family into the next generation, and humbly ask that you continue to lift up your leadership in prayer, that God would grant us His favor in revealing His will for us as a governing body. We also want to thank you for your continued patience as He guides us through the process in the coming weeks.

Good afternoon Christ Church,
We as your Parish Council continue to pray that God leads us to His choice to shepherd Christ Church into the future He has prepared for us. We want to thank you for your prayers towards that end, and ask you to please continue to bring our collective need before Him as we move forward.
Update: We have a teleconference with Vanderbloemen (the search firm we have engaged) scheduled for next week, to bring us up to speed on where they are in the process. This will be followed by a face to face meeting in mid-September, at which time our search consultant will present to us a slate of potential candidates. Parish Council will then begin a time of evaluation, deliberation, and personal interviews as we seek to discern whom God would call to lead our church family.
As we fervently seek the Lord's leading in this matter, we ask that you would please join us in praying that we would be diligent in our assigned work to evaluate candidates thoroughly, thoughtfully, and biblically. We also ask that you would join us in praying for God to be preparing the heart of our next Senior Pastor, that he would likewise prayerfully discern God's calling him to the ministry of Christ Church at Grove Farm.
By His Grace,
CCGF Parish Council
