Rev. Bruce Cote
Senior Associate Pastor
Bruce is the person who heads up our staff and steers our ship on its daily course. Although he was raised in a church-going family, Bruce didn’t come to a personal faith until he was 30 years old. Prior to his faith conversion he worked for General Electric Company for ten years in the area of finance and marketing although he has a degree in Zoology from the University of New Hampshire. After his faith experience he obtained a Master of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Bruce is married to Paula, an elementary school teacher, and has two children. His daughter is in college, and his son is a graduate of West Point. Don’t look for Bruce on Facebook or Twitter because he doesn’t do that; look for him in the woods where he’ll be hunting for all kinds of game with all kinds of weapons. When hunting season is over, you can find him working in his woodshop, or playing golf.
Bruce leads Christ Church day by day with a heart that is set on prayer as the foundation of all that we do. His parents taught him the importance of hard work, and from his wife he continues to learn to think of others.
Bruce gets his daily news from MSN, and his daily inspiration from Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
