Feel free to enter in as they explore more deeply The Heart of a Man, The Poser, The Wound, Finding Your Calling, Warfare, Rescuing the Beauty, Fighting for the Hearts of your Children, and more.
After a short breakfast (and fellowship) we will listen to about 45-50 minutes of one of the lessons and then discuss at each table a question or two, posed by the lesson. You may want to read or reread the book along with attending the series.
TESTIMONY
Guys, let me tell you what this teaching has meant to me. I grew up with an absentee father. My Dad was a doc who devoted himself to the noble profession of medicine, but I rarely saw him except for three months when I was 14 in 1964 when he took me to the Congo where he volunteered as a medical missionary. For the most part, I didn’t have the privilege of being mentored, or told I had what it takes by my Dad. In October 2008, I attended John’s Wild at Heart Boot Camp Live in Colorado, and on Saturday night of that weekend my father went home to be with Jesus. The lessons of that week, discovering that God has fathered me through life, molding me into his image as His beloved son, spoke volumes into my heart. Mostly I feel more led by the Lord than ever as my heavenly Father who lifts me up and carries me through life’s joys and battles I’m called to fight. Recently the Lord helped me use this teaching to lead a young 25 year old man named Brian to Christ, who happens to be dating my daughter.
The purpose of this teaching is to help us all discover God’s design for man, the masculine heart that we got from Him is what Luke 19:10 is about. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost… to restore our hearts to God’s intended design and purpose. But the evil one comes like a thief in the night to steal our hearts with many distractions. Commit to join us, learn and grow your masculine heart as Jesus would purpose you to do.”
