Local Outreach Partner

Local Outreach Partners are Ministries/Organizations that CCGF supports financially and promotes regularly for optimal congregation involvement and works in conjunction with church leadership. Our Local Outreach Partner is the Urban Impact Foundation.

Urban Impact Foundation (UIF) –Following God’s model of holistic ministry by investing in the lives of at risk children, youth and their families to develop responsible followers of Christ. Changing lives – “One Person, One Family, One Block at a Time.”  MORE INFO

Current volunteer needs for Urban Impact:
Education: Literacy Support Volunteers are needed at Pittsburgh Allegheny one day per week from 9:00am - 11:00am. Contact Amelia Shuppy for more information (amelia.shuppy@uifpgh.org). 
Options: Options Mentors are needed to help high school students navigate post-high school planning. Contact Sara Kimler for more information (sara.kimler@uifpgh.org). Athletics: Basketball and Swimming Volunteers are needed for the spring semester as well as coaches, Bible helpers, referees, scorekeepers, and drivers. Contact Angel Rodgers for more information (angel.rodgers@uifpgh.org). 
Performing Arts: Choir Volunteers and Meal Providers are needed Tuesday evenings from 5-9pm. Contact Annie Polka for more information (annie.polka@uifpgh.org).

Supported Local Outreach

Supported Local Outreach are Ministries/Organizations that CCGF highlights one or more times per year and/or supports financially. Our Supported Local Outreach:

Choices Pregnancy Services - Encourages women to go through with their pregnancy by providing ultrasounds, counseling, and sharing God’s perspective on sex, love and commitment. Choices also offers abortion recovery counseling and participates in abstinence education. MORE INFO

Silver Ring Thing - Inspires sexual wholeness in this generation through the power of the gospel. MORE INFO

Serving Our Sentinels - Assisting the severely wounded Veterans in efforts to transition back into civilian life. Meetings are the second Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Cry Room at Christ Church and always welcome new members. Please join us anytime! Contact: Doug & Bea Miller,  beadug@aol.com.  

Asservo Project - Latin for “watch over or guard”, combats global human trafficking and sexual predators, supports the recovery of victims, and aids in the imprisonment of perpetrators. MORE INFO

Women in Crisis Ministry - A place of safety for women and their children who are in a crisis and in need of immediate refuge on a short or long term basis. Supported Mission. MORE INFO

Local Outreach Friends are ministries that CCGF may highlight occasionally or as a one-time event. Our Local Outreach Friends:

Living Ministry - Uncovers the hope of Jesus Christ while pursuing and building relationships with the homeless. MORE INFO

Blessing Board - Provides donated household furnishings, to those in need at no cost, in response to what God has done for us. MORE INFO

Pine Valley Camp - Campers are introduced to a heavenly father who desires to heal broken hearts. MORE INFO

YWAM - Youth With a Mission. Reaching neighborhoods, nations, and the next generation for Christ. Their goal is to know God and make Him known. MORE INFO
