Kids' Ministry at Christ Church provides Christ-centered worship, education, and ministry opportunities for children and their families. We partner with parents and equip them as spiritual influencers of their children.

With influences from home and church working together, we can raise spiritually healthy children. Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers take their first look at God through age-appropriate activities. Music, movement, prayer, and discovery rule in early childhood ministry.

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade study God’s Word during the education hour and worship the One True God during worship hours. They learn how to apply God’s truths to their everyday lives in both large and small group settings. Our skilled leaders ensure your child enjoys a fun, safe, and faith-nurturing environment.

The Barnyard (8:45 & 10:00 am)
In the Barnyard, kids in K-5th grade grow and know God through biblically-centered instruction and engaging, hands-on learning activities. Teachers use music, art, and games to help children learn biblical principles, memorize Bible verses, and grow in their faith. Our program utilizes a large group setting for relationship building among children and small group breakout sessions for individualized attention.

No program on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday).

Small Group Christian Education (11:15 am)
Children in kindergarten through 5th grade study God’s Word and learn how to apply God’s truths to their everyday lives in small group settings with loving, knowledgeable teachers. At the 8:45 hour, children are paired with another class: Kindergarten / 1st grade, 2nd / 3rd grade, and 4th / 5th grade. At the 11:15 hour children meet in individual classes by grade level.

No class on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday).

AWANA Wednesday Night Program - Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

AWANA is a fun-filled, action packed, and Bible based program for kids ages 3* through 3rd grade. AWANA was derived from the first letters of the words on which it is based, “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” (2 Timothy 2:15). It was founded in 1950 as an international, nondenominational Bible-centered ministry for children and youth.  In weekly club meetings AWANA children play age-appropriate games, memorize Bible verses according to a topical system and participate in large group Bible lessons.

Parenting a New Generation
Starts Wednesday, September 13, 6:30-8:00 pm in Fellowship Hall with Pastor Jamie Kendrew. The world is changing, and so are today’s teens and children. As parents, we have a responsibility to equip ourselves with the Word and the best possible strategy for helping our students navigate these rapids in Christ like manner. We need one another to walk this road with. Please join us Wednesday nights for discussion and teaching on the biblical response to this new generation.
