Eileen Hodgetts
Director of Communications

Eileen’s task is to convey to our members and to the world in general all the great things that are happening here at Christ Church. She works on our printed materials, videos, billboards, and internal communications. Prior to taking up the Communications position, Eileen was our Encounter Uganda director for ten years.  Eileen and her husband Graham have two grown children, and are now giving a home to their ten year old grandson, who has already traveled with them to Uganda.

Eileen is a graduate of Ewell College in the UK, and shares Gordon Green’s passion for British Mysteries on TV. She also loves spending time in her garden and actually in her fish pond (it’s the best way to get the weeds out).  Raised in the Church of England, Eileen felt at home working with the Church of Uganda, and feels at home with Christ Church’s Anglican roots. She gets her daily newspapers delivered on her Kindle electronic book. She’s on Facebook, but not very aggressively, and has not tweeted ... yet.

Her husband Graham is her best friend who has taught her to think positively and dream big. Her parents (who lived through WWII in England) taught her to endure. Her inspiration comes from Psalm 46:10: Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
