The Daddy/Daughter Dance scheduled for March 21 has been cancelled. Refunds will be issued.

Dear Dads and Daughters,

It’s unfortunate, but with much wisdom, advice, and prayer we will need to cancel our upcoming Daddy Daughter Dance. Yesterday, we sought out advice from leading experts in infectious disease departments in the Pittsburgh area. The advice we received was to cancel due to close proximity on the Gateway Clipper and potential for the virus to spread. Going forward, there will be another dance but we are not sure when that will be. Refunds will be issued and we will begin work on that today. Please be patient. This may take up to two weeks to show up on your account.

I know many daughters may be really disappointed by this news like my own. I would suggest Dads that you still to do something special together instead. Let’s not allow this to get in the way of special moments with our girls.  Praying for you and your family! Pastor Robby Grunwald and the Christ Church at Grove Farm staff

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Saturday, March 21, 2020
5:00-8:00 pm on the Gateway Clipper

Registration opens Friday, February 21.

Check in and boarding starts at 5:00 pm. The ship leaves the dock promptly at 5:30 pm.

Cost: $30 for dads // $15 for daughters 18 and under // $30 for daughters 19 and over. Registration opens February 21 and closes on March 16. REGISTER USING THE FORM BELOW. Spots are limited.

We hope you will take advantage of this amazing opportunity to have a wonderful date with your daughter! The semi-formal date will give fathers an opportunity to dote on their daughters, spend quality time and build relationships. No one will be able to cut in. Dinner, dancing, a keepsake photo and lots of togetherness is part of the fun. There are no age restrictions.

This year, we are excited to announce that we will have some very special guests from your favorite Disney movies on our cruise!

The goal is for fathers to really connect with their little ladies, or grown ladies, not just for a night but for the years to come. Sure, it’s hard to see your daughter grow up, but no matter their age, daughters need their dad.

The Gateway Clipper, docked at Station Square, will push off dock promptly at 5:30 p.m. Participants will take in gorgeous panoramic views of Pittsburgh’s Allegheny, Ohio and Monongahela rivers from the dining room or top deck. Free portrait pictures of fathers and daughters will be taken. The Gateway Clipper Fleet, an iconic Pittsburgh attraction, originally set sail in 1958. Today it includes a fleet of six riverboats. The largest, Majestic, offers a passenger capacity of 1,000 people. The other vessels are Empress, Three Rivers Queen, Duchess, Countess and Princess. There will be many princesses aboard March 21 and magical moments between you and your little girl. You, as parents, are the most influential minsters to your children. Our family ministry here at Christ Church wants to support you in any way that we can.
