Sentinels of Freedom

Hundreds of injured service members are now rehabilitating in military hospitals across the United States after enduring amputations, severe burns, blindness or deafness.

Christ Church at Grove Farm has committed to accept a role in helping these young veterans regain an independent life.

This Outreach Ministry strives to provide mentoring and moral support to qualified members (Sentinels) of the U.S. Armed Forces who were severely injured in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001. This program helps these veterans--one at a time--readjust to civilian life, adapt to new physical challenges, and ease back into a life of self-sufficiency.

We want to provide:

Career Placement Assistance and Training
Rent-free housing, so the Sentinel can save his disability funds to have a down payment for his own home
New furniture & household supplies as needed
New adaptive vehicles if necessary
Educational Opportunities
Financial & Personal mentorship

We accomplish this through our teams,

RED - Focusing on employment & media
WHITE - Focusing on housing & community support
BLUE - Focusing on Military Affairs & VA

These young men and women have risked all and sacrificed much for our freedoms. Regardless of political feelings, these young people have stepped forward, donned the uniform of military service and taken an oath of allegiance to defend this country. We appreciate their service and sacrifice.
